Tree of Giving

I have been at the farm longer than any of the other animals – 22 years.  I have helped over 8,000 at-risk youth during that time.  You can help too by supporting one child for one month $78 or for one year $936.

Do you think this dress makes me look too skinny?  I am on a special diet, and you could help me keep a healthy weight with your support for my dietary supplements. Your donation of $75 would feed all our animals for one day.

I live at the Farm with my twin brother Luigi.  We have lots of children in our program who are also related.  Your support of our project HOME –(healthy, organic meals and education) could finance weekly boxes of organic produce for one family for one year for just $200.

Preston the Sheep

I was born in a vineyard in Sonoma County.  We don’t drink wine at the farm, but we love fresh juice.  We are raising money to buy our own apple press so the children can help during the harvest.  We pressed over 600 pounds of apples last year.  The press is $3,000 but you can donate any amount toward our snack program.

I am the newest member of the farm.  I was homeless and found roaming the streets of Turlock.  Some of the children at the farm were homeless but now they are settled in new homes and think of Forget Me Not Farm as a second home.  The cost of running the farm is $1,025. Per day.  Your donation will help provide support for more unhoused children and animals.

I am one of four alpacas.  The children love us because they think we are funny looking. I look better after my annual grooming and haircut, and it makes me feel better too.  Thankfully, I only need one haircut per year because it costs $100 and there are four of us.  Your donation of $100 - $400 will make us all look GOOD!

These Hoka’s were great for me when I was younger but now that I’m 20 (60 in human years) I need corrective shoes to help with my arthritis pain and they are soooo expensive. My shoes cost $325 every six weeks.

Some people say I behave like a middle school boy – into lots of mischief and sometimes a little pushy.  I do love to be with children, and I try my hardest to be gentle.  The people at the farm who take care of me are very gentle and kind.  You can support my care by donating $50 per week.

I lost my long-time stable mate several years ago.  After her death I was moved to Forget Me Not Farm and into a stall with Carmen the donkey.  Like many of the foster children in our program it took some time to get used to this new family member but now we are best friends.  With a donation of $1,000 you can support a foster youth (for one year) in our one-on-one mentoring program.

Sydney

I came to the farm a year ago.  It was a very long and wet winter in this new place, and I was lonely being the only emu.  Thankfully, Melbourne came to join me during the summer.  It is so nice to have another emu to share my home with.  For $100 you can support animal care for one month.

I love holidays and I’m thankful to be at the farm after a rough start in life in a high school biology lab.  I was hatched in the beginning of the pandemic, and no one was available to care for me.  Fortunately, I was transported to the farm along with two other ducks and we joined the small existing flock.  Now we are sharing our space with the emus, and we are all hoping for some financial support to dig a real pond this winter.  Special projects can be expensive.  Please donate to support the cost of running the farm $375,000 – any amount will help.

I am the resident rooster who was left behind when a homeless encampment was “swept” clean.  I’m not allowed in with the hens, but I am on duty as a security guard patrolling the fence line and keeping an eye on the girls. The children love me – please support one child for one week $25.
