Amanda Nicholson
Barn Specialist
Amanda is our current Barn Specialist, she joined the Farm Team January 2025 and we're so happy to have her! As our Barn Specialist Amanda spends her time caring for our wonderful animals, pitching in with volunteers and interns, and leads many of our therapeutic groups for youth. Amanda brings a lifelong love of animals and children to the role and worked for many years in our local schools as a behavioral assistant. In fact, it was in her role as a Behavioral Assistant that she first came acquainted with the farm. Amanda started seeing firsthand the therapeutic benefits of Animal Assisted Interventions for youth and decided to pivot her career and join our team. Now, combining her love of children and animals, Amanda makes youth, volunteers and animals alike feel well cared for with her warm and approachable demeanor. Though she enjoys many aspects of the farm, Amanda notes it is an honor to care for the cute and silly animals, appreciates working with like-minded people to help the community, and loves seeing the excitement on children’s faces during their time here.
When not at the farm, Amanda enjoys baking and playing board games!

Kalli James
Garden Educator
Kalli is our Garden Educator- she was looking for an outdoor hands-on job when she found Forget Me Not Farm and fell in love with our mission. As the Garden Educator, Kalli oversees our gardens and planting cycles, helps plan and tend the gardens, all while sharing her insights with farm youth and volunteers alike! Kalli initially joined Forget Me Not Farm in 2022 which helped nurture her growing passion for gardening. Inspired by the work, Kalli decided to pursue an education in gardening and is currently a student at SRJC Shone Farm- she will complete a certificate in Sustainable Agriculture Spring 2026.
Kalli is a wonderful asset to the farm, bringing her expertise with a kind generous attitude and strong work ethic. Kalli delights in watching kids try new produce, learn about where their food comes from, and enjoys planting food to feed them.
When not at the farm, Kalli is busy training her puppy Lupin and hiking around Sonoma County.
